Optimization on Material Removal Rate and Surface Roughness of Stainless Steel 304 Wire Cut EDM by Response Surface Methodology

In this work, wire cut electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is used for the material removing processes; it utilized conductive parts where required to produce complicated shapes, new profiles, geometry, product development, and high-accuracy components. This process best suitable high-end applications such as aerospace, automations, automobile, medical devices. At present, most of industrial sectors choose WEDM because develop products in a very short development cycle at better economic rate. paper, selected complex geometry metal sample was eroded away from during process, which eliminates mechanical tensions machining. The effect different operation variables set speed, tension, current, dielectric flow rate, pulse on off time parameter, stainless steel 304 rate (MRR) using RSM, has been studied. MRR will be maximized if optimum sets operational variations are also achieve superior surface finish.
